The Miller Branch of the BLRL will change its hours beginning Monday, November 10th. The updated hours of operation will be from 9 am to 1 pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This change in open hours is due to staffing issues and a lower number of patrons visiting this Library branch.

In recent years we have seen changes in how people make use of our library; it is a commonly agreed upon fact that folks tend to visit the library where they regularly do their grocery shopping. During COVID-19 restrictions, many patterns of behavior (such as shopping) changed, and some of those changes became permanent. Whereas larger branches like Mt. Vernon and Monett have seen drastic increases in patrons visiting the Library, some of the smaller, more rural libraries (like Miller) have seen fewer visits. As always, the Barry-Lawrence Regional Library is for everyone living within the counties we serve, and this requires matching services to the needs of the community.
Everyone, no matter where you live in Barry or Lawrence County, is welcome at all NINE branch locations of the Barry-Lawrence Regional Library. Our mission is “Connecting People to the Transforming Power of Knowledge,” and we invite you to join usin person or online.
