Friends of the Library: The Pierce City "Friends" group is an active support unit. They sponsor children, teen, and adult programs and provide funds for library programs and projects. Anyone who loves the library may be a "Friend" and provide support.

The Library (BLRL) Pivots Online Services Dropping Hoopla & Expanding Libby

The Barry-Lawrence Regional Library (BLRL) announced today it will discontinue the Hoopla streaming service on June 30th 2026, reinvesting those funds into the Libby (OverDrive) platform. This decision follows legislative changes to property taxes that have created an insecure funding environment for many service providers, including the library. To remain responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars, BLRL is transitioning away from Hoopla’s expensive "pay-per-use" model, which o

This traveling exhibit is making a stop at the Pierce City Library Feb. 18th - Mar. 28th The Pierce City Friends of the Library have sponsored this traveling exhibit that gives viewers a general overview of the orphan train movement and stories of orphan train riders. View this interesting exhibit and make a connection to our local past starting with an Exhibit Grand Opening Reception 10am on Wednesday, February 18th. The Exhibit will be open for viewing from 10am to 5:30pm
