Library Card Use, Loan Period,
Renewals, & Overdues

Library Card Use Guidelines:

New library patrons will need to present proof of current address and photo ID (such as a driver`s license) to get a library card.

Present your card each time you want to check out or renew items from the library or use a library computer.

Your card may be used at any branch location in the Barry-Lawrence Regional Library System.

Items may be returned at any branch location in the Barry-Lawrence Regional Library System.

This is YOUR library card--Library staff reserves the right to ask for identification.

As a library customer, YOU are responsible for returning items in good condition by the due date.

Children must be at least 6 years of age to obtain a library card. Youth ages 6-17 must have a parent or guardian's signature. Parent or guardian must already have a card and be physically present at the time of application. The parent or guardian is responsible for lost or damaged items or items that have not been returned.

Report the loss of your library card or change of address immediately. A $2.00 fee is charged for library card replacement.
Loan Period:
-
All items (Books, audiobooks, periodicals, videos, & DVDs) check out for two weeks.
Renewals:
-
Books, audiobooks, and periodicals may be renewed for 2 additional loan periods of two weeks, provided there are no pending requests.

Videos & DVDs may NOT be renewed.

To renew an item, you may access your personal account online or call the library.
