CASSVILLE BRANCH

PART TIME LIBRARY ASSISTANT (20 hours per week)

Part time entry-level position available immediately at the Cassville Branch Library.  Duties include, but are not limited to, general circulation duties, shelving and straightening books and materials, and assisting library customers in locating information and books. 

Desirable experience, education and training—Graduation from high school is required.  Clerical experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training which demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is desirable.  Ability to type, ability to locate materials using library classification systems, knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, and knowledge of routine library operations is preferred.  Must have excellent computer, organizational, and customer service skills.

Starting pay is $15.00 per hour.  Some benefits are included (vacation and sick leave).  Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes Saturdays. The Cassville Branch is open Monday-Friday 8:30 – 5:30, Saturday 9:00 – 1:00, and closed on Sundays.
