MONETT PART-TIME LIBRARY ASSISTANT

Part-time Library Assistant (20 hours per week) position available immediately at the Monett Branch Library. Duties include, but are not limited to, general circulation duties, shelving and straightening books and materials, and assisting library customers in locating information and books. 

Desirable experience, education and training—Graduation from high school is required.  Clerical experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training which demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is desirable.  Ability to type, ability to locate materials using library classification systems, knowledge of modern office practices and procedures, and knowledge of routine library operations is preferred.  Must have excellent computer, organizational, and customer service skills.

Starting pay is $15.00 per hour.  Part time vacation and sick leave benefits are included.  Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include nights and Saturdays. The Monett Branch is open Monday – Wednesday 8:30-5:30, Thursday 8:30-6:30, and Friday – Saturday 8:30-5:30. They are closed on Sundays.
