"I grew up at the library, my grandma would take us to the library (Monett Branch of the Barry-Lawrence Regional Library) once a week. She would let us pick out books for her to read to us, and then later we would pick out books for us to read together. I consider my love of reading and learning to have come from her. I am in college now, and I am not sure I would have ever made it this far, if it was not for those trips to the library. I am the first in my farming-family to go to college."
