“NEW” PART TIME POSITION AVAILABLE
MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
Part time (24+ hours per week) position available at the Regional Office in Monett. Duties include, but are not limited to training and supervision of delivery driver/custodians; overseeing and/or performing physical maintenance of facilities including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing; development and implementation of a regular preventive maintenance and repair schedule for facilities (inside and outside), systems, and equipment; operation of vehicles, power tools, and hand tools; basic carpentry/plumbing/painting work; participation in planning new facilities and renovations of existing facilities; negotiating, preparing, implementing, and administration of construction and service contracts; performing custodial work as needed; and tracking and maintaining supply inventory.
Graduation or equivalency from high school is required. Supplemental vocational, technical, or trade school training in building trades is preferred. Must have sufficient experience in the field to have acquired an extensive knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in all phases of building maintenance, including a basic general knowledge of painting, electricity, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC systems. Must have the ability to read and interpret plans for building construction, renovations, equipment, and furnishings. Must have a thorough knowledge of federal/state/local building codes, OSHA, and ADA. Must have the ability to operate computer equipment, personal computers, and basic office equipment. Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record with NO accidents or citations for major violations within the last three years.
Work will be performed inside or outside all ten library facilities in our two county district. Work may include exposure to chemicals and vapors, debris and dust, and other uncomfortable conditions. Heavy lifting up to 100 lbs. and other strenuous physical activities and frequent sustained operation of building and custodial equipment is required.
Starting pay is $12.00 - $14.00 per hour and is dependent upon experience. Vacation and sick leave benefits are included. Must be able to pass a background check and routine drug screening.
