Grand Re-Opening of the Cassville Library Branch on May 22nd.

The Barry-Lawrence Regional Library is thrilled to invite the community to the grand re-opening of our Cassville Branch on Friday, May 22nd, at 8:30 am.

Following a partial closure that began on March 2nd, we are opening our doors to reveal a fully revitalized space. To celebrate this milestone, we will be hosting an all-day reception to welcome back our patrons and showcase the extensive improvements made to your local library.

A Legacy of Generosity

This transformation (and many other improvements over the years) was made possible by a significant endowment bequeathed to the library by Lisa Peterson. A longtime Cassville patron, Lisa’s profound love for her library and her community lives on through these renovations. Her vision for a vibrant community hub for the patrons in Cassville served as the blueprint for this project.

We hope Lisa’s incredible gift inspires others to consider the impact of their own legacy. Whether through a planned endowment or a donation to your local branch, your support ensures that our libraries remain a cornerstone of local education and connection.

What’s New at the Library?

We have repaired, repainted, and reorganized the branch to better serve our patrons. Highlights of the renovation include:

1. Dedicated Teen Zone: A space designed specifically for young adults to study and connect.

   
   

2. Private Study Rooms: Quiet spaces perfect for remote work, tutoring, or focused research.

   
   

3. Reimagined Children’s Area: An engaging environment built to foster a lifelong love of reading.

   
   

4. Upgraded Seating: Comfortable, modern furniture throughout the branch for our adult patrons.
