The Missouri Humanities Organization is thrilled to announce the Small Town Showcase 2024 Featured Five Communities! The five towns that will be highlighted next year are:
Aurora (Lawrence County, Population 7,500)
Albany (Gentry County, Population 1,679)
Marceline (Linn County, Population 2,125)
Pacific (Franklin County, Population 7,414)
Carrollton (Carroll County, Population 3,430)

Nominations for 2024 took place in early 2023, and 36 communities nominated themselves for the chance to be featured. In order to be eligible, communities have to be located within the State of Missouri and have populations of 10,000 people or fewer. Our nominees received over 660,000 combined votes in total. Each featured community will work with Missouri Humanities' production team on a podcast and short video about their town, and will be highlighted in various MH publications and public events.
