On Monday, October 3rd, the old Monett library facility (located at 213 6th Street) will be closed and will remain closed to the public permanently. The New Monett Library will open on November 14th.
During this closed period, the Library Staff will be packing up and moving all the books, computers, and everything else.
The librarians are working to organize the new library and prepare it for serving our patrons. We apologize for the inconvenience over the six weeks we are closed, but our neighboring BLRL branches like Pierce City, Aurora, Cassville, and Mt Vernon will be open to serve you on their regular schedules hours of operation.
We are all excited about the fantastic future of the New Monett Library. Everyone is welcome to join us for the Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting on November 14th at 10:00 am.
