Donate Food, Essentials, & Pet Food

September 8th - 14th

Help those in need in our local community

Bring nonperishable items to this table and help your neighbors in need. It’s a great way to help strengthen our community and let everyone know we care!


Most Needed Donations:

For People

Personal Care & Hygiene

  • Toiletries: Travel-sized soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, deodorant, lip balm, and basic first-aid items like bandages and antibiotic ointment. 

  • Hygiene Wipes: Wet wipes or baby wipes for personal cleaning. 

  • Feminine Hygiene: Tampons, pads, or other sanitary products. 

  • Hair Care: Comb or hairbrush, and potentially dry shampoo. 

  • Other: Baggies, Hand sanitizer, hand warmers, tissues, nail clippers, and a small mirror. 

Food & Drink

  • Water: Bottled water or sports drinks are crucial. 

  • Non-Perishable Snacks: Granola bars, crackers, fruit snacks, or single-serving items like tuna and cracker packs. 

  • Other: Pull-tab cans of food (like Vienna sausages), instant coffee, or candy. 

Clothing & Gear

  • Socks: A pair of socks is one of the most requested items. 

  • Winter Items: Gloves, hats, and hand warmers are essential for cold weather. 

  • Other: Rain ponchos can be very useful in any weather. 

Helpful Extras

  • Resource Information: A small flyer or card with information on where to find help or resources (such as BLRL info packet, local shelters, etc.).

  • Encouragement: A cheerful note of encouragement can boost morale. 


For Pets


Essential Pet Supplies

  • Food & Water: Dry kibble or canned wet food, treats, and a collapsible food/water bowl. 

  • Comfort: A small blanket, dog bed, or even a durable, rodent-resistant cooler to keep food safe. 

  • Safety: A slip lead or leash, a collar, and waste bags. 

  • Grooming: A brush, pet wipes, and flea and tick prevention. 

  • Hygiene: A small bottle of pet shampoo and a pet toothbrush, and toothpaste. 

Optional Additions

  • Toys: Small, durable toys to provide mental stimulation and comfort. 

  • Clothing: Pet jackets or booties can be helpful for pets in colder weather. 

  • Kits: A separate bag or backpack to carry the supplies is very useful for organization.
