This year's featured program is the Fishin Magicians. They will be splashing all across the Barry-Lawrence Regional Library District, bringing their popular magical and educational program to our community's kids. This is one of over 100 outstanding programs BLRL Libraries will be providing free of charge to our patrons throughout the summer.
You can find out more about the Library's Summer Reading Challenge at this website: blrLibrary.com/src
Fishin' Magicians deliver an educational presentation with magic, humor, puppets, and loads of audience participation. Audiences will see the water disappear and reappear in a Missouri map, and rope magically forms into shapes illustrating Missouri waterways. Crawford, the crawdad puppet, will perform magic and explain his fear of raccoons. A raccoon puppet appears by magic and shows how it needs streams. The groups will learn how many butterflies depend on Missouri's streams and the plants they support.
