About The Cassville Library:

The Cassville Branch Library was the first to join with the Lawrence County Library in 1954 in a cooperative system.

Cassville serves as the county seat for Barry County. It was named for Brigadier General Lewis Cass, a leading statesman. The community is within easy driving distance to Roaring River State Park, Beaver Lake, Ark., Table Rock Lake and the popular tourist attractions of Silver Dollar City and Branson.

The library serves Cassville, an industrial and manufacturing community, and several surrounding smaller communities. Formerly located in an old home, the Cassville Branch now occupies a new 9,400 square foot library building. The new building provides space for over 65,000 volumes, adequate wiring and space for modern computer technology and automation, children`s areas for book collections as well as enhanced programming space, a historical/genealogical room to house the largest collection of historical materials in the two-county system, a meeting room available with a seating capacity of 75 to 100 people, and adequate parking for over 40 vehicles.

The meeting room is available free of charge for non-profit groups and for a small fee to all others. Rules and restrictions will apply.  For more information and to schedule use please contact the library staff. Click here for the Meeting Room Use Policy.
