New Library Program Invites Local Leaders to Storytime:

This new library program has three main goals. We want to make reading and literacy a more important part of every child's life. Provide community leaders a chance to chance to get out and personally connect with kids and parents. And lastly, give our children access to role models that inspire them to grow up not only caring about our community but also being someone that takes action to improve it.

The Leaders as Readers Storytime Will Start November and will continue through May of 2020. Community leaders are invited to schedule a time to be a storytime reader at library locations around the library district. Also, the "Leader Readers" will have an opportunity to tell kids (from preschool & elementary school ages) about their work in the community, and later be available to parent's questions and comments.

The schedule is limited; if you are a community leader interested in scheduling a time to be part of the ongoing Leaders as Readers Program, please contact Greg Brown at Greg@blrLibrary.org / 417-235-6646.
