LIBRARY PART-TIME DRIVER / MAINTENANCE POSITION

REGIONAL—PART TIME DRIVER/MAINTENANCE

Part time Driver/Maintenance 24-32 hours per week available beginning June 2, 2025 at the

Regional Office (Administration Building located at 213 6th Street Monett, MO 65708). 

Duties include, but are not limited to, preparing materials for delivery; loading and unloading the library van for deliveries to library branches; driving library van to all library branches three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) for delivering and picking up materials, supplies, equipment, and/or furnishings; keeping library van fueled, clean, and in good working condition; assembling and delivering equipment and furnishings; and providing light maintenance such as lawn care and minor electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry as required at library branches.

Desirable experience, education and training--Graduation from high school is required.  Vocational, technical, or trade school training in building trades and at least one year experience in general building maintenance and repair or any equivalent combination of acceptable education and experience is preferred.  Knowledge of automotive and maintenance equipment and of associated servicing and repairs is required.

Minimum staring pay is $13.75-$20.00 per hour and is dependent upon education and experience level.  Benefits are included.  Work primarily performed Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:00-5:00.  Must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record with no accidents or citations for major violations within the last three years. Must have the ability to work independently without immediate supervision and act appropriately under pressure.

Position requires stooping, bending, stretching, pushing, and lifting up to or exceeding 75 lb.  Work is performed primarily inside or outside a library facility while driving in a vehicle or standing for extended periods at a time
