Full Time Library Assistant-Adult Services

Full time Library Assistant, Adult Services (40 hours per week) position available October 2, 2023 at the Cassville Branch Library. Duties include, but are not limited to, performing general circulation duties, helping library customers in locating information and books, and providing customers with basic reader’s advisory assistance. Responsible for helping to shelve library books and materials and empty the book drop. Assists with bulleting boards, displays,

adult summer reading club, and provides programming for adults and senior citizens.

Desirable experience, education and training—Graduation from high school required.

Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree or college level courses in a library related field preferred.

Experience in library work; or any equivalent combination of experience and training, which

demonstrates knowledge, skills, and abilities of position are REQUIRED. Must possess the

ability to positively promote library services in the community. Excellent computer,

organizational, and customer service skills required.

Starting pay ($26,622.00-$33,408.00 yearly) is dependent upon experience and education level. Benefits are included. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Currently the Cassville Branch is open Monday - Friday 8:30-5:30 and Saturday 9:00-1:00. They are closed on Sundays.
